The Haunted Half, American Fork

The Haunted Half is half-race, half-Halloween party. As runners in optional Halloween costumes take on the half-marathon or 5K course, they pass aid stations staffed by zombies and goblins, and get an extra boost of adrenaline as they dart through various "Spook Zones"—such as a tunnel plagued by all sorts of frights. When athletes reach the race's end, they each earn a finisher's medal commemorating both their endurance and fearlessness. Best of all, the spooky fun continues beyond the finish line with Halloween festivities that include a mummification station and a trick-or-treating tent.
