Grassfield Sport Horses, Chesapeake

Communing with an animal isn't something that comes naturally to everyone, but is a necessary part of riding a horse. At Grassfield, the onsite trainer—a Level IV instructor with the Certified Horsemanship Association—helps all riders develop a strong foundation in basic horsemanship and safety to lessen the chance of dangerous falls or multiple-horse pileups. From there, lesson programs are tailored to specific needs and skill levels as students narrow their focus on a discipline such as Eventing, Dressage, or Hunter/Jumper techniques. Upon advancement, students can take their shiny new skills out onto the miles of trails that surround the ranch or enroll in a showing event within the covered arena.
