Working up a sweat is often seen as the prerequisite to getting in shape, but at Abstract Bodyworks, that's simply not the case. That's because the studio's trainers keep the studio cooled to 65 degrees, diminishing the body's need to sweat while preserving the benefits of exercise. Clients can even work out in their regular clothes, and there's no need to shower afterward.
The refreshingly cool temperature isn't the only thing that sets Abstract Bodyworks apart from other gyms. For one thing, the studio specializes in working with clients 40 and older, using movements requiring minimal force to help with chronic back and neck pain. For another, one-on-one full-body resistance training sessions last just 15 minutes—a convenient length for clients with busy schedules. Finally, the sessions are held in a private room without mirrors, allowing students to burn calories and tone their muscles without distractions.
