6th Position Dance Company, Houston

Donshika Deyon wants to free people to dance like no one's watching. After training with the Alvin Ailey Extension Workshops, she founded 6th Position Dance Company to help young and new dancers achieve that same spirit on the dance floor. Children and adults can choose their favorite genre of dance—hip hop, ballet, modern, and jazz included—and show up ready to get started. When she's not leading classes, Donshika promotes dancing in local schools through her Let's Dance program for kids.
