Ingredients ranging from all-natural Angus steak to organic tofu with brown rice fill out burritos, along with shredded cheese and chipotle crema—both made from hormone-free dairy. Organic greens tossed with jicama and sweet peppers create the vegan avocado-quinoa salad, and flatbreads featuring preservative-free barbecue chicken crisp up in a fiery stone oven.

Few franchises make it their mission to create positive change through food, but Sharky's has done exactly that from day one, when its first location opened in Sherman Oaks, California, in 1992. And even though the restaurant has expanded to dozens of locations, each store still sticks to the same principles of using quality ingredients to create healthy, Mexican-inspired fare.
