At Urban Float, visitors unleash tension inside a pod-like sensory-deprivation pool that’s filled with epsom salts and skin-temperature water. In addition to launching participants into a state of meditative relaxation, the gravity-suspending experience can boost the workings of the central nervous system and the brain by blocking out stress and external stimuli, such as traffic noise or a swarm of pet parrots. Outside of the pool guests can enjoy a pre- and post-float lounge filled with comfy couches, books, magazines, and free hot tea.
