About The Santa Rosa Marathon, Half, & 5K
As it rumbles into its eighth year, the Santa Rosa Marathon will feature a few upgrades in 2016, including 5K and 10K alternatives. The course, meanwhile, will be just as beautiful as ever: as a qualifier for the Boston Marathon, it will wind through downtown, West Sonoma County, and even cut through DeLoach Vineyards. But running won't be the only activity on tap during marathon weekend. Here are a few other events scheduled to occur in conjunction with the race:
Post-Race Festival: Located in Juilliard Park near the start/finish lines, this annual party will include a free pancake breakfast for all the runners, a beer and wine garden, a farmer's market, and a bunch of kid-friendly attractions.
Ready, Set, Growl Beer Festival: Craft breweries from all over the country are set to attend this marathon-weekend event, which will once again showcase a lineup of rare, out-of-state beers.
Health and Fitness Expo: Located at DeLoach Vineyards, this expo is free and open to the public. It will feature national and local vendors and running-related organizations, plus interactive demos and free product samples.
