Looking at a row of vacant storefronts on White Center's main strip in 2008, Justin Cline was inspired to revitalize his neighborhood. To do this, he and his partner, Ann Magyar, opened an ice cream shop. Full Tilt Ice Cream quickly gained popularity for its lively atmosphere–thanks to pinball machines, arcade games, and live music–as well as its inventive ice cream flavors such as Filipino ube, cinnamon-infused Mexican chocolate, and a salted caramel The Stranger calls "nothing short of awesome." The shop's success led to three more locations as well as a slew of retail outlets and restaurants that carry the shop's innovative flavors.

Zoopa Organic is one such restaurant. Not your ordinary buffet joint, Zoopa Organic eschews plastic packaged mac and cheese and limp, days-old lettuce for dishes made with fresh, organic, and seasonal ingredients. These dishes—which are crafted to appeal to raw vegans, vegetarians, and meat eaters alike–include made-from-scratch soups and a broccoli slaw that adds green to your diet while tasting better than a handful of crayon shavings. And of course for dessert, Full Tilt ice cream can be balanced atop slices of peach cobbler cake. For people on the go, there's also a separate customer service entrance for carry out ice cream orders.
