Wish we had planned for more time to be able to hear others speak, but quite honestly we didn’t really know what to expect. This wasn’t the World Trade Center museum tour,it is a tribute museum, and pictures and artifact are donated from survivors/family/friendGordon spoke the day we went. His story was very moving/ interesting. He is a survivor as well as lost his sister in the 911 tragedy.

It was so touching! I spoke with Peter, a volunteer who was in the North Tower. This museum doesn’t get as many visitors but I highly recommend it! Please check it out the next time you are in #NYC! #911TributeMuseum

Listening to the docent’s riveting story of his 9/11 experience was the most memorable experience from my tourist weekend in NYC. Please visit this museum and share the stories you hear.

About 9/11 Tribute Museum

The 9/11 Tribute Museum, founded by the nonprofit September 11th Families' Association, blends the informative and the emotionally honest in conveying the events and timeline of September 11, 2001, from the perspective of those who were there – family members who lost loved ones, survivors, first responders, recovery workers and lower Manhattan residents. The Tribute Museum galleries contain videos, artifacts, pictures and interviews to create a moving portrait of the attack on September 11, 2001. Before looking ahead to lower Manhattan's plans for the future, the 9/11 Tribute Museum shares a personal remembrance of the victims, the unprecedented rescue-and-recovery operations, and the tremendous spirit of generosity and support that arose after the attack.
