What You'll Get
Dance was invented as a means of expressing oneself, with a waltz saying "I love you" and a tap dance saying "this pavement is too hot." Communicate the ineffable with today's Groupon to Ballroom in Motion. Choose between the following options:
- For $15, you get one month of group dance classes for one person (a $40 value).
- For $34, you get three 30-minute private dance lessons and one month of group dance classes (a $145 value).
Specializing in the arts of cha-cha, waltz, swing, and rumba, Ballroom in Motion's experienced dance instructors teach aspiring hoofers how to trip the light fantastic in both private and group ballroom-dancing classes. In weekly group sessions, students spend 55 minutes honing the steps of their chosen dance, gliding elegantly across the floor in a waltz or shimmying off trash-talking shoulder parrots in a cha-cha. Under the guidance of an experienced instructor, dancers spend one month building upon basic steps until they've assembled a full repertoire of fancy footwork. For a more personalized experience on the dance floor, patrons can opt to add three private lessons for one-on-one attention and marathon staring contests with instructors.

About Ballroom in Motion
Teena Marie was born into a dancing family. Her family owned Arthur Murray studios, and she took her first lesson at the age of 5. Just shy of her 18th birthday, Teena became a dance instructor. Now at the helm of her own studio—Ballroom in Motion—Teena and her staff of experienced instructors provide a relaxed and positive environment focused on fun and ease to better help clients step, twirl, and glide across floors. Her co-owner and son, Matthew Watson, is a fourth generation ballroom instructor. Matthew was trained under Emmanuel Pierre-Antonie along with his professional dancing partner Elena. Matthew is a certified instructor in LaBlast Dance Fitness. Together Teena and Matthew—along with their skilled staff offer lessons in a group or private setting, and host dance parties for people to show off their newly acquired skills.
