$75 for a Three-Hour Photography Class ($300 Value)
Students meet at The Hotel at Kirkwood Center, where they spend two hours in a seminar and another hour out in the field putting their newfound knowledge into action. Whether students bring with them an iPhone, a point-and-shoot, or a DSLR camera, the instructor advises them on how to best use their device. The first two sessions will take place on January 19, at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. A second date will be in February but has not been scheduled.
The shutterbugs at Bluenote Photography see themselves as storytellers and their photos as a chance to relive life’s major moments. In addition to everyday family- and senior-portrait sessions, they aim to artfully capture the emotions at weddings, parties, and engagements. To help amateurs snap better photos on their own, they share their expertise during public and private classes. In these sessions, they cover both basic and advanced photography theory and demonstrate how to “paint with light” no matter the device, including iPhones, point-and-shoot, and DSLR cameras.
