A Chat with Boston Guitar Repair Center
What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
You won’t be waiting two or three weeks to get your axe back. In fact, many jobs are completed on the day they’re taken in. Your instrument will be setup to your specifications. You’ll play it and it will be fine-tuned before you take it home, on the road, or wherever it’s going.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
Brant started taking guitars apart and putting them back together (mostly back together, anyway) almost as soon as he started playing. He was trained and certified as a guitar repair technician while still in high school and worked at a local music store doing repairs on weekends.
What is the best reaction you’ve ever gotten from a customer?
I brought in my 20 year old Martin for new frets, a new saddle, and bridge repair. As someone who used to build guitars, I’m impressed with the quality of the work. The fret dressing is very well done. More smooth and comfortable than stock jobs. This is the best this guitar has ever played.
