The Bowers Museum and dining at Tangeta Restaurant was the highlight of my day. I toke my sister for her birthday. I love all the changing and permanent exhibits. A 5star experience for a great price.

With the Groupon Deal, it’s a very inexpensive admission to a beautiful and well-maintained museum full of cultural artifacts from several disparate areas of the world, including a section devoted to California’s history. The goal of the museum is both to educate as well as to showcase some magnificent works of art.

Each major exhibit was spaced out enough without any crowding--even if using a wheelchair! We went on a Tuesday afternoon and it wasn't even crowded--and, yes, there was a group of elementary school kids on an excursion and we didn't even notice them! The gift shop was well-appointed with a very warm staff. Looking forward to a return visit.
