About A Chat with Brooklyn Sewcial

What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
We offer adult and children's sewing and crafting classes. Classes are one-day & project based. Featuring: make your own yoga pants, tote bags, crop tops, and creating patterns from your favorite dress. We keep projects fun, and easy. You will walk away with a new piece to add to your wardrobe.

Do you provide any materials? What should your students expect to bring?
Students must bring their own fabric. There are machines, and sewing notions to use at Brooklyn Sewcial. Each class has different material requirements, please check website BrooklynSewcial.com for specifics of each class.

What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
When I was a child, I would spend my time with my grandmother cooking, and sewing. I love that we were able to bond through a mutual love for creating, while learning a skill that has shaped my future. I started Brooklyn Sewcial in hopes to build a creative community, and teach others to sew.

What do you love most about your job?
The best part of teaching is meeting so many creative people. Everyone of my students is so unique and everyday I continue to grow and learn from them. Most students come convinced they will never sew, but at the end of class they leave confident and with a beautiful project, it's amazing to see.
