Exercisers build strong arm, leg, and core muscles in classes that use circus-esque silks suspended from the ceiling
About This Deal
- $10 for one introductory aerial fitness class ($20 value)
CirqueIndy's founder Mary Brumbaugh wanted to bring the aerial arts to her city to help folks get fit in gravity-defying style. At her Fulton Street studio, she blends spare brick walls and industrially bare ceiling with the forest of colorful silk curtains and sparkling hoops that dangle from the ceiling. There, students spin and twirl while supporting their own body weight to build cores filled with lean muscle. Mary doesn't just teach aerial classes, though. She also focuses on flexibility, acrobatics, and yoga—all excellent supplements for aspiring trapeze artists.
