A Chat with Claire Nana M.A. Coaching
What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
Claire has completed nine ultra-marathons (100-mile races), written six books, [completed] over 20 continuing education courses, and worked with several corporations, including Live In Fitness, Nokia, and U.S. International University. Claire also pens the popular blog, Leveraging Adversity on Psychcentral.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
Having worked as both a psychotherapist, life coach, and personal trainer for several years, I have often seen dramatic change in my clients, however something has been missed. What inspired me to start Leverage Adversity was to promote the idea that contrary to what people are often told, setbacks – even the really devastating kind – do not have to be roadblocks, and you don’t have to be debilitated by them. My desire is to help people reframe the way they look at setbacks, and see that instead of being held back by them, they can be pushed forward.
What do you love most about your job?
I am blessed every day to be able to witness people take their lives into their hands, make powerful changes, and create the life they always wanted.
What is the best reaction you’ve ever gotten from a customer?
I once had a customer tell me, “I will never forget how you helped me change my life. I am forever grateful to you.”
