Scientists agree that children are our future, which is why most children are sealed in time capsules with a flashlight and a stack of magazines. Give a child something he or she will really dig with this Groupon.
Choose from Three Options
- $147 for a Mad Science Show with choice of theme (a $295 value)
Parents choose from five themes for a 45-minute interactive science show. Air Power wows kids with floating balls and a hovercraft to help them learn about Bernoulli’s principle, which states that hovercrafts are awesome. The mad scientist harnesses the power of dry ice to swarm the audience with clouds after they learn about the properties of heat in Fire and Ice. In Mystery of Chemistry, a series of experiments mystifies eyes with rainbow liquids, foaming pastes, and a vat of slime. A Tesla coil charges a volunteer from the crowd with 200,000 volts of harmless electricity during Phantastic Physics, and Science Outdoors amuses in backyards with messes of bubbles and sticky sodas.
- $179 for a Mad Science Show with choice of theme and a Slime Workshop (a $415 value)
Up to 20 kids become lab assistants to a helpful scientist for one hour, learning how to make slime that they can take home at the end of the workshop.
- $75 for a Slime Workshop (a $150 value)
The scientists travel for free to venues up to 15 miles from their laboratory, with an additional $.65 per extra mile. Venues must provide a table for the show, as well as access to electricity and water.
With exciting stage shows and interactive workshops, Mad Science instills kids with a love of experimentation and knowledge of scientific principles. Scientists head to birthday parties and after-school programs to enliven heady topics such as chemistry and physics with educational spectacle, whether they’re displaying the power of electricity by turning a pickle into a light bulb or the power of trans-matter rays by turning a light bulb into a pickle. Kids can interact and even participate in the shows, becoming conduits for 200,000 volts of electricity and mixing up batches of gooey slime to take home.
