What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
DreamFlight is Charlottesville's only certified Antigravity fitness studio using Harrison hammocks. We play with the tool of gravity for complete mental & physical decompression. All fitness levels and body types welcome.
Exercise is challenging. How do you keep clients motivated and engaged?
Besides a large variety of fun techniques from inversions, swinging, and stretching, to later adding flips and tricks, we also incorporate an element of awareness, meditation, and breathing techniques to incorporate the mind / body connection to our workout.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
I experienced chronic low back pain for years and after one class, I realized that this form of movement is not only strengthening, but is completely healing. I've heard many stories of relieved pain in the back, neck, shoulders and other problem areas due to our zero compression inversions.
What do you love most about your job?
Connecting with people through a healthy but really fun form of movement. I also enjoy watching people transform as many come to class stressed, tired, or in pain, and leave feeling happier, healthier, and energized!
