About Fat Shack
Bagel shops tend to close early; after all, they focus on breakfast and lunch. But on a college campus, bagel shops aren't going to help students with late-night cravings after an evening of writing papers or a weekend of playing parcheesi and horseshoes. Enter Fat Shack.
The original Fat Shack, founded in 2010, shared space with a bagel shop near the College of New Jersey campus. It opened after the bagel shop closed for the day, stuffing students with fries, chicken fingers, and other fried food well into the wee hours. The concept was a hit, and Fat Shack soon expanded to Colorado and Texas. It has since been featured on the Travel Channel's Food Paradise.
