Firi Bistro's exterior may be firmly planted in Pompano Beach, but the interior transports visitors to countries much farther away. Expansive paintings of the Italian coast adorn the eggshell walls, and mosaic accents top everything from the poles to the tables. It's here that diners indulge in the eatery's Italian and Argentine food artfully prepared by Luis Alfonzo and his staff. Read on to learn more about Firi Bistro's offerings.
Italian Pizza and Pasta
Any Italian restaurant worth its weight in salt, or Fabio bobbleheads, features pasta and pizza, and Firi is no different. Pasta dishes include succulent shrimp and scallops served over a bed of penne noodles in a housemade marinara sauce and four-cheese ravioli smothered in creamy alfredo sauce. There's plenty of pizza as well, most notably, the bistro's namesake rectangular pizza topped with fresh sliced tomatoes, prosciutto, baby arugula, and balsamic.
Italian cuisine is the star of the menu, but the Argentine cuisine shouldn't be overlooked. Grilled meat options include short ribs and skirt steak along with Argentine-style sausage served with the country's signature chimichurri sauce. Other sauces, such as the chicken brochette's guasacaca, further exhibit the bistro's Argentine influence.
