When opening Galli, chef and co-owner Steven Gallo used both his individual and ancestral know-how. He not only drew on years of experience running restaurants such as La Piazza and Mama Theresa's, but culled family recipes from as far back as 100 years to form a menu lauded by the press for its Italian comfort food, as well as modern Italian dishes and craft cocktails.
From the Press
"Highlights include a spicy rendition of fried calamari in marinara sauce and, from the signature 'parm' menu, a perfectly decadent chicken Parmesan served over spaghetti." —New York magazine
"The kitchen turns out solid renditions of Chicken Francese and Marsala . . . but the real draw here is the pasta. . . Be sure to try the Norma, a riff on the Sicilian specialty." — Gothamist
"The balanced Lansky makes savoring rye a possibility in the stickiest of hours. . . It's illuminated with Aperol and lemon, while amaro ensures its backbone never goes weak." — Paper magazine
