The restaurant doesn’t have as much decor/visual interest as I’m used to seeing at a hibachi restaurant but the food made up for it. So good! And, the chef was entertaining.

We ordered two things, I had the chicken and my friend ordered the sushi. I would call the chicken mediocre at best, but my friend complains a bunch about his sushi. He says he salmon he got was cooked , and the tuna tasted like it was on it's way out. They weren't terrible, but I'm sure there's somewhere better to eat. The staff was kind and helpful though so there's that at least.

We live nearby, and typically enjoy Ginza. Evidence from today's experience suggests that their current staff is grossly inexperienced - from wait staff to hibachi table chef.

About Ginza of Tokyo

Many of the tables at Ginza of Tokyo aren't just tables—they're also home to giant flat-iron skillets, heated from below to create a blazing-hot surface. On these teppanyaki grills, chefs sauté vegetables and prepare premium meats, keeping guests engaged with their dexterity and amazed by their tricks. Meanwhile, the restaurant is also home to expert sushi chefs, who slice fillets of raw fish to roll into maki cylinders or drape over mounds of perfectly cooked sushi rice. Here's a sampling of what you might find on the menu.

To Start

  • Yakitori chicken glazed in the house teriyaki sauce
  • Battered and fried whole soft-shell crab

From the Teppanyaki

  • Sirloin steak with shrimp
  • Lobster and teriyaki chicken

From the Sushi Bar

  • Maryland roll with crab and Old Bay seasoning
  • Flying dragon roll, a typical california roll topped with eel
