Beer was good and decently priced. Lines grew pretty long at times because of low staffing. Music was good, but pretty loud for the inside of the tent and nothing that you would hear at real Oktoberfest. Pretzels were absolutely terrible and cold, with cheese cups that were essentially warm Cheeze-Whiz. Doubt I will go back.

Beer was delicious and food was very good! Pretzels were a bit dry but the atmosphere was electric when I went. Very hospitable also, had too much food to carry and they left their stand to help me and bring the food to my table outside. Also had volunteers stopping at my table asking if I needed anything else. They brought beers over when needed refills. I've never had this luxury at any fest I've been too! Nice added amenity :) People working the fest were also VERY nice and friendly! We had a great time and will definitely go again next year!

About Glendale Heights Oktoberfest

Each year, guests fill Camera Park to celebrate German culture at Glendale Heights Oktoberfest. The festival’s spacious tent ensures a full weekend of merriment, whether the sky rains, shines, or finally spills its Big Dipper. As live bands lay down rhythms with their oompahs, waitresses clad in dirndl skirts serve up authentic German cuisine overseen by Chef Wolfgang, in addition to Austrian and German pastries and frosty beers imported from Weihenstephan in Munich, and Allgäuer Brauhaus in Allgäu, Bavaria, Germany.

Aside from the festival’s palate-pleasing foods, revelers can work off hearty meals by dancing from noon to midnight and erupting into a round of applause after inspiring performances by lederhosen-clad accordion players. Youngsters can also enjoy magicians, jugglers, stilt walkers and everyone can shop an array of souvenirs, such as t-shirts, novelties, hats, steins, jewelry, pins, and German flags.
