What You’ll Do
The ever-increasing capabilities of digital-audio workstations, or DAWs, have given ordinary musicians access to powerful recording tools formerly reserved for professional studios. During this two-hour lesson, Mark Todd Wurtzel covers the basics of how to use Ableton Live Suite 9 to produce your own original music, mashups, and remixes. Musicians of all ages and skill levels will learn to track live and electronic instruments using provided gear.

Music instructor Mark Todd Wurtzel teaches the basics of Ableton Live Suite 9 in a studio stocked with gear ranging from guitars to MIDI controllers.
Take Home Original Tracks
After a recording session, you’ll receive the session’s original tracks, which you can take home on a burned CD or have sent to your MP3 player.
Mark Todd Wurtzel
Mark Todd Wurtzel hopes that someday every school in the country will teach music production, and judging by his prolific instruction, he’s trying to accomplish his goal single-handedly. His experience with music education spans from violin, guitar, and voice lessons to audio-engineering classes and tutorials on DAW software such as Pro Tools and Ableton Live. As a student himself, Wurtzel received an MA in Jazz Commercial Music in 2005.
