What You’ll Do
There’s a reason why Chicago was built along a river. During this 75-minute interactive experience, you’ll learn about the relationship between the city and its waterway, and get an up-close look at the massive bridges that span the Chicago River. Experienced guides with knowledge of history and architecture lead the way.
Explore a Bridgehouse
Scale the five stories of the McCormick Bridgehouse—the only such structure open to the public—and visit its gear room to see just how it works.
Walk Along the Waterfront
After leaving the bridgehouse, you’ll stroll the streets that run along the river and visit three other bridges.
Things to Know
Wear good walking shoes, and bring sunscreen or a hat.
