What You’ll Do
Glass artist Sharon Gilbert and her trained artisans teach students to create their own colorful double wall bowls in a two-hour glassblowing workshop. Artisans will guide participants every step of the way, and provide them with all the necessary tools to create a unique piece of glass art, which they can choose to keep or gift.
Create Your Own Double Wall Bowl
In the hotshop, you’ll craft a bowl out of clear glass.
Customize It with Your Own Colors
Choose two colors to blend in a design that features inner and outer walls, plus bubbles that form inside, giving the colors texture as well.
Come Back for Your Finished Creation
After allowing the bowl to cool overnight, you can pick it up within the week to take it home.

About Talisman Glass Studio
Roughly two decades ago, Sharon Gilbert attended a glassblowing class and saw something that would change her life: an artist who used fire and sand the way others used a brush and paint. In the years since, she’s mastered the craft and became the owner of Chicago’s Talisman Glass. There, she teaches private and group glassblowing and fusing classes—that is, when she’s not being profiled for Bon Appetit, the Huffington Post, and the Chicago Tribune.
