A Chicago institution since 1973, The Abbey Pub hosts comedy, music, and special events within its friendly confines. On March 17, Saint Patrick’s Day revelers will be treated to a live soundtrack performed by The Great Whiskey Project, a band known for soulful, fiddle-tinged rock-‘n’-roll shows. During live shows, the quintet stacks their sets with originals, traditional Irish songs, and a wide range of covers from legendary artists such as Elvis, U2, and Johnny Cash. The O'Hare School of Irish Dance, Fitz & the Celts, Shannon Rovers Bagpipers, and Cul an Ti round out the bill of performers. In addition to the concert, the all-day event features traditional Irish dancers, Irish cuisine, and an abundance of green beer.
