What You'll Get
The right lighting and a professional photographer can ensure that one's presidential portrait is free of background tire fires. Capture your best side for all time with today’s Groupon: for $85, you get a one-hour portrait session and high-resolution DVD of photos from Joel Marion Photography (a $500 value). Shoots take place at a location of your choice within 20 miles of the 63021 zip code.
With more than 40 years of image-capturing history, Joel Marion Photography freezes moments in time with solo and family portraiture. Subjects select any location within a 20-mile radius for photo shoots, from a nostalgic childhood soda shop to a favorite underground bunker. Joel Marion employs an interactive photography style to lure candid smiles out of their hiding places, in sessions defined by friendly, focused attention. One-hour shoots produce at least 50 images, digitally documented via CD or DVD. Discs are presented approximately one week after the session, so photographers can edit, color balance, and digitally add diamond necklaces onto the subjects in all images. Clients can also view proofs online the same day discs become available, sending terabits of memories shuddering through fiber-optic cables. CDs may be mailed for an additional $5 payable on the day of the photo session, and finished prints (including Photoshop retouching) can be ordered at additional cost.

About Joel Marion Photography
Joel Marion first cultivated his creativity while enlisted in the Air Force and working as a photojournalist. He taught himself the complexities of shutter speed and f-stops through trial and error. Through his company—Joel Marion Photography—the autodidact has become one of the fortunate few whose avocation becomes their vocation, unlike Michael Jordan, who longed to dunk donuts instead of basketballs. Throughout his career, he has worked in fashion and advertising in St. Louis. By working with area clients for more than 30 years, Joel brings an experienced and creative approach to family, baby, high-school senior, and head-shot portraits. His wife Carol manages the studio while photographer and design and Photoshop specialist, Kelly Tucker, shoots sessions and helps their clientele create aesthetically pleasing compositions.
