The experience was great on the train but a little bit disappointing about the pumpkin patch too small, then they have a bunch of games for kids and vendors, there’s even a winery at the top of the mountain that has like a nice bar/cafe but they offer free tastings too at the at the Pumpkin Patch.

This trip was awesome, I brought my daughter (9 years old), and her cousins on it and they loved it. Plus, we got to get a good history lesson. Not, to mention everybody on the train song happy birthday to my daughter. I bought her one of the trains, so she would remember this trip. My daughter said, "This was the best Birthday, ever!"

*Heart of Dixie Railroad Museum Guests can take a reminiscent trip back in time as they board restored vintage railroad coaches for a trip through the forests of Shelby County, Alabama. The Calera & Shelby Railroad runs on a portion of the former Alabama Mineral Railroad (L&N), established in 1891.
Enjoy your authentic train ride behind a historic first-generation diesel-electric locomotive; visit the Heart of Dixie Railroad Museum to learn more about Alabama's locomotive history through various exhibits, railroad artifacts, and memorabilia; see multiple vintage trains and rail equipment in Clark Yard.
