What You'll Get
The Issue: Cost of Care for Homeless Animals
At Humane Society for Hamilton County, animals are not euthanized due to space restrictions, breed, special needs, or disabilities. The shelter doesn’t place a limit on how long an animal has to find a home, believing that, in time, all companion animals will find a loving family. The cost of care for each animal runs roughly $8 per day, which includes vaccinations and microchipping. However, it does not include medical expenses incurred when treating sick and injured animals, for which there are many.
The Campaign: Sheltering Homeless Animals
If 40 people donate $10 to this Grassroots campaign, then Humane Society for Hamilton County can provide one night of shelter and care for 40 animals. This includes food, supplies, and overhead costs at the facility as well as medical care for sick or injured animals. Each additional $10 raised will fund a night of shelter and care for another animal.

About Humane Society for Hamilton County
Humane Society for Hamilton County aims to save the lives of cats and dogs through foster-care and adoption programs. The open-admission shelter accepts both strays and owner-surrendered animals regardless of breed, age, or medical needs, and it does not euthanize adoptable pets based on time or space limitations. Additionally, the organization raises awareness about animal rights and educates the community through animal-training and behavioral-support programs, low-cost spay and neuter services, pit-bull education, and other community resources.
