A mere 12 months after Helen Mckenna opened id.Salon, it was voted Best New Salon by the Boston Globe ; four years later, the same publication gave it the honor of Best Salon - West. Chalk that up to the studied stylists, who craft cutting-edge 'dos designed to turn heads, and manicurist Galina Frishman, who has painted the nails of such stars as Jennifer Lawrence, Cameron Diaz, and Sandra Bullock. The space echoes the staff's aesthetic: it's all modern abstract art and minimalist design, a hip spot so encouraging of transformation that you might be tempted to dye the hair on your arm tattoo.
The salon is pleasant I do feel it was still expensive for a Groupon haircut/gloss/blowdry-- as in the end, with tip it was still $80 And full price it would have been $110 + tip But Alicia the stylist was very nice, and competent She listened to what I was hoping to have done and made good suggestions
