What You'll Get
Without professional instruction, Baryshnikov never would have set foot on the stage and Neil Armstrong never would have moonwalked. Follow in famous footsteps with today’s Groupon: for $30, you get five dance classes at the Lou Conte Dance Studio (a $75 value). This Groupon is not valid for BeMoved classes.
Part of the world-renown Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, the Lou Conte Dance Studio educates and exercises adults with classes and workshops for dancers of all levels, beginner through professional. All of the Lou Conte Dance Studio instructors are extremely experienced and many have toured nationally and internationally, winning various awards in their disciplines. With more than 70 classes offered each week, Groupon holders can choose from a variety of dance styles including ballet, jazz, and percussive tap, where students learn rhythmic moves. They also offer fluid and expressive modern dance, hip-hop, traditional Nigerian African dance, and musical-theater classes, in which students can learn choreography from famed Broadway shows. Get today's Groupon to bust a move you've never busted before—be it a contemporary ballet move, a jazzercise move, or a well-coordinated move to a nicer part of town, away from that mouthy opossum that keeps opening your mail. About Lou Conte Dance Studio
Back in 1974, Lou Conte Dance Studio was nothing more than a twinkle in Claire Bataille's eye. Nearly 40 years and a slew of international acclaim later, the studio has become a pillar of the Chicago dance community. Today, Bataille—who earned the Ruth Page Award for Outstanding Dancer— and her staff lead more than 70 dance and fitness classes every week for teens, adults, beginners, and professionals. Their regular workshops delve into the nuances and history of dance, enhancing the curriculum with focused lessons and special lectures on the dangers of carelessly discarding banana peels.
