Maple Dale Golf Course
Maple Dale Golf Course sits on land with a storied history dating back to Delaware’s earliest days. The property’s original deed, dated 1684, signed over the plot for an annual stipend of one bushel of wheat per hundred acres of land. The owners no longer pay rent in wheat, of course, but the natural majesty of the landscape remains much as it was all those centuries ago. In fact, one of the property’s original buildings still stands near the 16th green—although the ghosts that occupy that home are forbidden from helping you putt.
