Miracle on Fulton: Champagne Stroll at Fulton Street starts with live music at 5 p.m. on Friday, December 5. From 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., revelers make their way to four booths to sample various champagnes. Meanwhile, local artists, shops, and food vendors will sell their wares.
There's something missing from Fulton Street—though no one seems to be complaining. To maintain its timeless charm, the red bricks that stretch out from Harrah's New Orleans Casino remain closed to motor traffic, preserving an oasis for pedestrians. Live music often floats through the open air, and indoor attractions are always just a step away.
Slip into Fulton Alley, and you're surrounded by a chorus of strikes and spares emanating from 12 bowling lanes. House-brewed craft beer and pub cuisine define Gordon Biersch, while Manning's offers up to 24 draft beer options, and champagne lounge Après offers an upscale ambiance.
Perhaps the best time to visit Fulton Street is during a holiday celebration, such as Mardi Gras on Fulton or Miracle on Fulton. The latter transforms the street with thousands of twinkling lights in celebration of the holidays and the miracle of electricity.
