I visited Motion Automotive on 02/05/21 at the opening of the day. My overall experience with Motion Automotive was satisfactory. The knowledge, pleasantness, and efficiency of the technicians was on point. I was well pleased. I was pleased with the service and acknowledgment of the discounted wheel alignment groupon. And once attended upon, I was out within 30 minutes.
However, my unpleasant experience came from the dissatisfaction of the unpleasantness, unprofessionallism, and lack of concern the manager displayed upon arrival.
I was greeted at my car by one of the technicians upon arrival and instructed that I could go in and the manager would assist me.
When I walked in, I walked to the desk and informed the manager of the service I was needing. He replied, "ok, have a seat", and proceeded reading through and throwing away what appeared to be mail. After patiently waiting for ten minutes I finally decided to ask, "Will you need my keys?" He walked over to me and with a somewhat disgusted look replied, "Give me your keys.", and walked to the garage.
10 minutes later a young lady walked in and went to the desk and told him what service she was needing. He greeted her with a smile, took her keys, and typed/inputed what I assumed was her information in the computer and immediately took her keys in the garage to the technicians.
I'm not sure what he might have been going through. Maybe it was too early. I was the first customer that arrived. Maybe he had a bad night or a fight with his girlfriend or wife. I don't know.
However, unbeknown to him, I had just gotten off from an 11 hour shift, and had been sitting in my car in front of the business for 30-35 minutes before hours of operation. So I was very exhausted, and had to drive 50 minutes back home once they were done. So though empathetic to whatever might have been on his mind, I was nevertheless dissatisfied with his lack of concern for my time and business.
My suggestion is that he do better at greeting the customers and making sure that they feel welcomed and have a pleasant experience. Because I am very big on customer service, that experience with him alone I believe was worth 2 stars not being received.
