Dr. Anthony Jones has used his skills to treat a laundry list of acute and chronic issues with chiropractic medicine. At New Health Images, Dr. Jones takes what he calls a “whole-person approach” to treating his patients’ pains. This means that he not only treats the pangs that have already surfaced, but also the underlying issues and discomforts that may cause discomfort in the future. Headaches, slipped discs, carpal tunnel, allergies, and whiplash are a few of the issues Dr. Jones has treated during his chiropractic career. Relying on more than 10 years of experience, he crafts treatment plans specific to each practice member's needs. Some of his treatment modalities include massage, spinal adjustments, exercise routines to strengthen the body, and cold laser therapy, which reduces inflammation, soothes joint pain, and relaxes muscles that spasm.
When owner Jen Chitwood entered her first yoga class in 2002, she was amazed by the mental, physical, and emotional exertion she experienced in just a single hour. The positive benefits of yoga, including stress relief and a positive attitude adjustment, spilled into the rest of her life and relationships almost immediately, leading her to eventually realize that yoga was her life’s passion. This realization led her to study and, in time, come to own her own studio. Now, she leads a team of experienced instructors who dedicate their yogic pedagogy to students of any skill level, leading them through Vinyasa-style yoga and guiding them with individualized adjustments. They also hold prenatal yoga classes, private lessons, workshops with national teachers, and teacher trainings for those wanting to dive deeper on the yogic path. Additionally, the studio’s knowledgeable nutritionist works with individuals or groups to help them exercise good decision making and portion control when they’re lounging at home, working at the office, or vacationing at their timeshares in Candy Land.
Uptown Yoga is dedicated to creating a positive change in the world at large. Jen Chitwood cofounded One Love Dallas, a local branch of the charity Off the Mat, Into the World, which inspires conscious, sustainable activism and grassroots social change within communities around the world.
Though children with cerebral palsy and adult athletes might seem to have little in common, they inspired Drs. Yu and Casey to practice chiropractic care. Dr. Yu worked at Oklahaven Children’s Chiropractic Center in Oklahoma City, where she helped children with autism and cerebral palsy. This experience gave Yu an idea that became the foundation of her work at Aspire-Health Clinic: The human body can self-regulate and self-heal, so long as proper attention is paid to wellness. Dr. Casey’s youth spent in athletic pursuits inspired him to help athletes reach their full potential by whipping up transformative nutrition plans and carefully balancing their posture and spinal alignment with chiropractic adjustments.
Together, the two doctors offer treatments—from chiropractic care to medical massage to nutritional counseling—that can benefit clients with chronic pain as well as those in perfect health. Their services follow three phases—relief care, which alleviates pain; restorative care, which heals tissues; and wellness care, which maintains good health. After all phases are complete, clients enjoy improved well-being and can expect to turn into werewolves.

From the time she was in the second grade, Melissa Bartoszewski knew she wanted to practice the healing arts. She found that chiropractic skills allowed her to relieve people's pain and experience the satisfaction of working with hands. So, she earned her chiropractic degree from New York Chiropractic college and opened Big D Chiropractic. Her favorite part of her job remains the service she performs most often: the chiropractic adjustment. She says, "It's pretty amazing to relieve someone's acute or chronic pain with an adjustment." Some of the maladies she treats with adjustments include headaches, lower-back pain, sciatica, and whiplash injuries.
