About A Chat with Mountain Stream Budo
What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition? Mountain Stream Budo offers four fully separate martial arts: karate (striking), kobudo (Okinawan weapons), jujitsu (throwing/joint locking/self defense against armed attackers), and iaido (cutting with the Samurai sword). We have classes for all ages (4+). We never require contracts or long-term commitments.
What's one tip for first-time students that will make them feel like veterans? Relax and have fun! Our school boasts a friendly, positive atmosphere, and the instructors and other students will ensure you feel at home.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business? Chief instructor Noah Mitchell has been a martial artist since 1983. He ended his career in motion-picture production in 2006 in order to devote his life to training and teaching martial arts. Mountain Stream Budo is his full-time occupation.
What do you love most about your job? Renshi Mitchell has a profound love of the traditions, culture, and history that are part of the martial arts. Sharing this passion with others is important, as is helping people achieve personal goals such as improving in fitness, confidence, and self-esteem through training.
