- $16 for $25 worth of used records and store apparel
When customers step inside the door of Olympic Records, they look to the right and see—unsurprisingly—rows of used records. But to the left, visitors will find something they might not expect: a pair of pinball machines. The pinball machines and the ample seating are the owners' nod to shopping companions who may not have the patience to browse as long as their friends—because vinyl lovers can easily get lost in the shop's selection. Carefully curated by owner Kevin Morosini and his wife, Erika, Olympic Records' collection focuses on indie rock, local music, and other hidden gems that have been recommended by customers and other music buffs. The shop sells both new and used music, and customers can sell their own used records. Each of the used records is inspected, machine-cleaned, bagged, and tagged as "no longer property of Susan" before it's put out on the floor.
