Each Fall, as the leaves begin to change in scenic Long Valley, big green John Deere tractors can be seen pulling hayrides of families out to their pumpkin patch to pick pumpkins off the vine. Giggles and laughs can be heard of visitors who find their way through the twists and turns of the 8 acre corn maze. The fall festival also offers farm animals to pet and feed, a tractor playset and hay pyramid for visitors. Their farm stand is open daily and has a wide selection of fresh produce, local apples, apple cider, decorations and delicious home baked pies and apple cider donuts. On the weekends in October, visitors can also enjoy pony rides, train rides and monster truck rides. They are partnered with Goryeb Children Hospital in Morristown NJ. Winter brings holiday decorations, such as douglas firs and wreaths, and spring blossoms to life as pots of geraniums, annuals, and marigolds spring up inside the farm's five greenhouses. And as the sun dons its giant summer bathing suit, the Orts arrive at local farmers’ markets bearing fresh lettuce, colorful peppers, and other seasonal produce. Atlantic Health System Goryeb Children’s Hospital, located in Morristown, NJ, is a state-designated “Children’s Hospital,” a recognition earned from the national Children’s Hospital Association and the State of New Jersey in recognition of institutions with multiple pediatric specialties including a pediatric emergency department, pediatric intensive care unit and regional perinatal center.
