About Pittsburgh Botanic Garden
What was once farming and mining land is now the Pittsburgh Botanic Garden, an idyllic green space just 10 miles from the heart of the Steel City. Founded and maintained by dedicated horticulturists, the garden is a living museum, filled with trails cut through leafy woodlands, a relaxing lotus pond, and a meadow filled with flowering dogwood trees. In addition to nature, the garden also contains hints of its past lives, including a scenic event space within a vintage barn dating from the 1870s.
