Using a ballet barre, students perform small, isolated movements to lift the seat, tone the thighs, and strengthen core muscles. The 55-minute full-body workout can burn up to 500 calories per class. Typically results may be seen after 10 classes. See the class schedule.
Beginning in 2001 as a small fitness operation, Pure Barre has since blossomed into a widely acclaimed, widely publicized approach to exercise with a nationwide following. Each 55-minute Pure Barre class is broken into four sections (arms, seat, thighs, and abs) and set to customized music that rotates each week. The high-intensity, low-impact routines change frequently, keeping workouts challenging and fun. Dedicated participants of the method often see significant results in as little as three–four weeks.
