Greeted with excellent live music when entering; a female singer accompanied by piano. Decor was original. There were only 2 groups of people in the restaurant; the two of us, and a party of about 6. The party of 6 departed about 20 minutes after we arrived, so we are now the ONLY customers in the restaurant. We constantly had to look for the waiter and get his attention. We ordered the goat cheese pizza - they should rename it to JOKE cheese pizza. The crust was hand-pressed, EXTREMELY thin in the center; so thin, that the sauce and cheese had oozed through onto the board the pizza was served on. I was able to get the waiter's attention (being that he was so busy helping NOBODY else). He replied he would tell the cook. He returned from the kitchen to loiter around the bar. After several minutes, I was able to get his attention again, and I asked him if he had talked to anyone about the pizza. He replied, the cook was outside having a smoke, and he would NOW go get him. The cook came in. I told him and showed him the condition of the pizza. The cook is an arrogant moron, replying that is how the pizza is; it is a thin crust; and, the ingredients went to the middle; that's just how it is. I then requested a SPOON to eat the pizza with (to poke fun), and he instructed the waiter to bring me a spoon (he is apparently too arrogant to even know when he is being made fun of). He then returned to the back. Our next order came out, the tiny chicken. It was served whole, and the waiter never even suggested cutting it and serving it to us (this clearly demonstrates the service here is sub-par). There was juice/gravy on the bottom of the dish. The waiter did not bring us a cutting knife for the chicken, nor a spoon for the juice/gravy (but we DID have the spoon we had requested earlier for the 'pizza'!). ADDITIONALLY, the cook didn't even remove the lemon wedge and stalk of rosemary that was stuffed in the chicken's organs cavity. And the prices are OUTRAGEOUS!!! That JOKE of a pizza was nearly $20 (No, they did not discount the pizza in any way for the condition it was served in; it appeared to be made by a 5 year old - seriously!) And the tiny chicken was $30! AND, do NOT believe the Groupon about the 18% Service Charge/Gratuity - they automatically add 20% to the bill!!! It is a nice place to sit and relax, but when it comes to food preparation and service, this is one of the WORST places!

About Rouge CineCafe

Inside Rouge, silent movies projected on the wall enhance the quietly romantic atmosphere as patrons dine on primarily French dishes, along with traditional Moroccan-style stews. Steak tartare or bouillabaisse—a fish soup popular in southern France—pair with french, spanish, or italian wines from the expansive wine list. The overall dining experience transcends Miami, as french, spanish, or middle eastern music plays in the background.
