At Royal Karma, the first thing that strikes you is the dining room's hip, muted red glow. Then there are the beaded chandeliers and dimmed lights that keep the vibe going as the restaurant's Northern Indian specialties start to come out. Dishes here run the gamut from palak paneer—spinach with Indian cheese—to lamb simmered in yogurt sauce, among a list that also includes curry and tandoori bites. But the kitchen's signature offering has to be its popular biryanis, raisin-studded dishes of basmati rice tossed with meat and vegetables. Though dinner brings with it a seemingly endless variety of Northern Indian meat and vegetarian dishes, the bottomless lunch buffet makes it easy to to get a taste of many Royal Karma specialties at once, whether you fill up several plates or just one tall glass.
