All paddling trips take place on Silver Lake, a fresh body of water with views of Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Rainier. Each adventure begins with a tutorial: sunset trip tutorials take around 15–20 minutes, while fishing trip tutorials last around an hour; both cover kayak basics.

During the sunset paddle, you'll disembark at 6 p.m. and navigate your kayak through the canals and around the islands of Silver Lake, keeping an eye out for wildlife along the shores. Alternatively, on the kayak fishing trip, anglers paddle around Silver Lake in pursuit of trout, crappie, catfish, carp, bass, bluegill, and perch on 1.5-hour or 4-hour excursions.

For trips that include a wine tasting, the group will head up to Mt. St. Helens Cellars, post-kayaking, for a tour of the winery and a wine sampling. Bring your own lunch or dinner to enjoy.

Sasquatch Adventures

Sasquatch Adventures strives to unite nature lovers with the tranquil landscapes of the Pacific Northwest. The outdoor sports outfit runs most of its excursions on scenic Silver Lake, tucked in the shadow of one of the U.S.'s most famous volcanoes, Mt. St. Helens. Experienced tour guides—all CPR-certified—lead kayak trips on the waters as well as fishing trips tailored around certain types of fish native to the waters. Each guide possesses a wealth of knowledge about the region in order to point out local wildlife, share tips on sustainable fishing practices, and engage in conversations about local sports teams.
