Kayakers, unlike pancakes or depressed turtles, muster the will to get themselves upright when flipped upside down. Float through life with this Groupon.
Choose from Three Options
- $35 for a 2.5-hour sunset kayak adventure with wine tasting (a $65 value)
Kayaks depart from the dock nightly at 6 p.m. for a paddle around the canals and islands of Silver Lake. The 2.5-hour span is prime wildlife-viewing time, giving kayakers ample opportunity to spy animals frolicing in their natural habitat. When the paddling portion is over, the group drives up to Mt. St. Helens Cellars to take a tour of the facilities, taste their wines, and nibble on provided snacks.
- $49 for a 2.5-hour kayak fishing adventure (a $100 value)
The fishing trip begins with an hour of instruction—split between dry-land and on-the-water tutorials—after which participants push off and fish Silver Lake against a backdrop of Mr. Rainier and Mt. St. Helens. Participants spend the rest of the time trying to reel in some of the lake's diverse bounty of fish, including trout, blue gill, carp, bass, and perch.
- $89 for a five-hour kayak fishing adventure with one-hour wine tasting (a $180 value)
The five-hour trip combines both of the above adventures, including four full hours dedicated to fishing. Though light snacks are provided during the one-hour wine tasting portion, participants should pack a sack lunch.
