About Slice of Vegas

Slice of Vegas floods Mandalay Place with the familiar aromas of Italian comfort foods. Although the chefs roll meatballs and bake focaccia bread in-house, they also seek out distinctly Old-World flavors by importing cappicola, salami, and ham from Italy via gondola. They layer New York–style pizzas with as many as 31 toppings, including such nontraditional ingredients as truffle oil, brie, and capers. Bartenders shake up signature cocktails as well as beers from a list of more than 50 internationally sourced options, which includes Belgian, German, and locally brewed creations.

Although the menu stays relatively close to its Italian roots, the dining room's décor also draws inspiration from vintage Americana, with diner-like red- and white-tiled floors and horseshoe-shaped vinyl booths. By contrast, 12 flat-screen TVs and an 8-foot, HD projection screen lend a thoroughly modern air. Even the jukebox incorporates 21st century technology, allowing diners to add to the playlist with an iPhone or a USB-compatible phonograph. The restaurant is located within The Shoppes at Mandalay Place between Mandalay Bay and Luxor.
