- $99 for $1,650 toward LASIK laser eye surgery for each eye with one year of follow-up care
The full cost of LASIK laser eye surgery $2,900 per eye. This Groupon may be applied toward that total cost.
LASIK treatments can help address such visual deficiencies as nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. After leading a consult to confirm candidacy, the doctors schedule surgery, which begins with the creation of a small flap on the corneal surface. A laser then reshapes the curvature of the cornea under the flap according to calibrations customized for each patient. Next, the flap is replaced and allowed to fuse to the rest of the cornea, which doesn’t require any stitches or sutures. Eyes typically heal well enough for patients to see after one day, and many procedures result in 20/20 or better vision.

The Bladeless LASIK procedure itself generally lasts under 15 minutes, and in most cases both eyes are treated the same day. Our goal is to provide you with the best possible vision correction as if you were wearing contacts or glasses.
Bladeless LASIK permanently changes the shape of the cornea to address such visual deficiencies as nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. Patients go through an evaluation process to determine candidacy. After the administration of a topical anesthesia (eye drops), the procedure is performed by folding back a thin layer of the corneal tissue (the flap) and then reshaping the underlying layer of the cornea with the light from the Excimer laser. After the treatment, the flap is replaced where it will bond back to the underlying cornea without the need for stitches. The procedure is essentially painless, and most patients return to work within 2-3 days. Dr. Cathy Schanzer has been performing LASIK procedures for more than 25 years at Southern Eye Associates. LASIK technology has advanced to the point where corneal mapping surveys both the front and back of the cornea to better assess surgical risk, and bladeless technology creates the corneal flap. For patients unable to have LASIK performed, there are other options available such as PRK and ICL, and RLE.
