- $125 for a half-day internet marketing course ($500 value)
This is a 4-hour course to be presented by Pierre Zarokian, a Search Engine Optimization (SEO) pioneer since the mid 90’s who currently writes for Search Engine Journal, Search Engine Watch and several other publications. The courses will cover:
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Basics Learn how to properly optimize your website for the best Google rankings. This portion will cover: hands-on SEO training, SEO do’s and don’ts, onsite SEO factors (such as title, page, meta tags and alt tags) and duplicate content issues. We also cover link building with an emphasis on what to do and what not to do, what type of links can get you penalized, and go over the changes Penguin and Panda Algorithms brought to SEO. We’ll also talk about, what to do if you are penalized, how to disavow bad links, and provide a brief recommendation of SEO tools recommendations and an introduction to both Google Webmaster Tools and Analytics.
Online Reviews & Reputation Management Online reviews are very important for the survival of any small local businesses. A low rating, or even 1 negative review could mean a huge loss in revenue, while a positive rating could lead to additional revenue and word-of-mouth marketing. This section will cover Yelp reputation management, how Yelp filters work, how to increase positive reviews on Yelp and remove negative ones, and an in-depth look at other review sites (such as Google+, Ripoff Report, BBB and others as time permits).
Social Media Marketing Learn about the most important Social Media platform, as well as the do’s and don’ts of social media marketing. This section will offer an in-depth look at marketing on Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Google+, Pintrest and Instagram. This section will also offer recommendations of various social media tools and ideas to make your campaigns go viral (including social media contest platforms, and more).
Site Analysis & QA Depending on available time, we will analyze several actual websites from the audience and provide expert recommendations on SEO, Web design and other marketing ideas.
