Sushime's intimate, softly lit dining room is suffused with a warm glow, one that emanates from flickering candles and low-hanging lamps. It's the sort of lighting that makes the world look a little redder, like everything's blushing. But even that does little to obscure the wild colors of the restaurant's food. Vibrant sushi boats sail to tables filled with any combination of 40 specialty rolls, including the Berry Berry, combination of spicy crab and cream cheese topped with tobiko, strawberries, and eel sauce, and the Yo! Mama, which features deep-fried sweet potato and smoked salmon. Sushime's efforts have won them spots on the Toast of Music City's Reader's Choice awards list in 2013 and 2014.
