$8 for Family Admission for Up to Six ($16 Value)

Family admission includes access to The Kids Expo for two adults (or children aged 12 or older) and up to four children younger than 12. The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, at the Arlington Convention Center. There, kids can pose for pictures with Easter Bunny or hunt down hidden plastic Easter eggs in search of prizes. They might also present a cheek for some fanciful face-painting, leap around a bounce castle, or hop on a trackless train to tour the exposition. Ziggy, the nimble dinosaur from Leapin' Lizards, helps visitors burn off excess energy with silly dance routines set to catchy tunes. An arts and crafts area invites youngsters to make their own masterpieces, and a balloon animal demonstration shows off the intricate nuances of inflatable critters.

The Kids Expo

In one corner, young voices chant a karaoke tune over the sound system. In another, inflatable structures jump to the beat of kids bouncing inside. The Kids Expo sounds like kid heaven, but there’s plenty to engage their keepers, too, to counter the boredom of listening to the incessant sounds of youthful joy. Adults can browse a wide range of vendor booths and exhibits for new products for their families, and they can even sneak off to plan their little one’s next surprise party by consulting with children’s entertainers and representatives from kids’ play centers.
